A return to our core / A note from the Haus
The Haus goes
home.
Back to the art.
Back to our senses.
Going home means returning to what first moved us: drawing, making, memory, and the way a scent can make an ordinary moment feel like something worth keeping.
The ideas on paper. The curiosity behind each fragrance. The simple pleasure of finding something that feels like you.
01 / Sensory exploration
A scent starts
with a feeling.
Some scents stay close. Others fill the room.
My original Introvert and Extrovert drawings trace the early exploration of scent and feeling. A place to explore how scent moves through a room—and how you want to feel within it.
You can find yourself in both. Start with how you want to feel today.
02 / Art & making
From the page
to the Haus.
Before the label reaches the vessel, there is a drawing. A line, a shape, an idea taking form.
Opulence is one part of that story: original artwork becoming part of a candle’s identity. These labels bring us back to the art that first gave PB its point of view.
A name with room to grow.
A Predominantly Black Candle Haus became A Predominantly Black Candle + Body Haus because our name needed to reflect what we are becoming known for. Candles were the beginning. Today, the Haus reaches beyond the room and onto the skin, with body care and fragrance becoming part of the same story.
Our soy–coconut candles, wax melts, home fragrance, and body care belong together. The new name makes room for that growth while keeping us connected to where we started.
Back to the art. Back to our point of view.
Somewhere along the way, we made our branding easier for everyone to digest. We softened the details that made it distinctly ours. Returning to the original label artwork means trusting that point of view again.
The Haus has a particular person in mind: someone drawn to scent, art, and objects with a point of view. Someone who sees a little of themselves in what they bring home. We are making space for that connection again, with branding that feels like us—and finds the people it was made for.
03 / Scent & memory
What does home
smell like to you?
A familiar room. Something cooking. Fresh linen. Someone you miss.
Scent gives us another way to explore memory—and to make new memories in the spaces we live in now.
Keep it simple. Follow a note that catches your attention. See where it takes you.
Stay selfish.
Take care of the Haus that holds you.
